Users strap on their NFT sneakers and hit the pavement, earning tokens and mystery boxes just for walking, jogging, or running outdoors. Designed to promote a healthier lifestyle while introducing people to the exciting world of Web3, it’s basically fitness with real financial perks!
With over 5 million registered users globally and a solid crew of 600k active monthly movers, STEPN is not only one of the top global lifestyle reward apps; it’s also leading a movement—encouraging people to stay active and help fight climate change while rewarding them through blockchain technology.
From high-profile partnerships with the likes of adidas and DJ and music producer Steve Aoki to collabs with the famous anime series Ghost in the Shell and soccer team Atlético de Madrid, this is an innovative lifestyle app that’s proudly changing the game in both the fitness and Web3 spaces.
STEPN approached us with the need for a full-scale creative solution to align with their unique brand and rapidly growing user base.
Our team conducted a comprehensive analysis of their marketing needs and identified key areas where design could elevate their engagement. Through a rigorous process of mood boarding, sketching, and collaboration, we delivered on multiple fronts, from NFT sneaker designs to cohesive social media content. STEP 1: We listened (often underrated, but we think it’s pretty important)!
When STEPN knocked on our door in 2021, they were unknown in the Web3 and wellness arena.
They needed bold, fresh, cutting-edge designs and illustrations that would not just excite but keep their audience hooked and wanting more. Working closely with their team, we discussed all things strategy—sharing advice, setting clear expectations, timelines and deliverables—nailing down the core visual language that would translate across all platforms.
Key deliverables
STEP 2: We got our sketch on.
Beginning with some serious mood-boarding, we gathered every bit of feedback, including any major or minor notes, and began sketching out initial ideas before sending them to the STEPN crew for approval. Once we got the first thumbs up, we kicked into some serious, high-impact illustration mode, collaborating and refining the designs until they hit the mark.
STEPN needed a partner who firstly understood their mission, but who could also deliver dynamic visual content that would connect individuals who are always on the go and looking for more out of a lifestyle app.
And that’s exactly what we did.
From slick NFT sneaker designs to a full suite of brand-aligned animations and illustrations for their website and social media channels, we continue to churn out over 40 posts and 25 illustrations monthly, giving STEPN’s visual marketing some serious impact and, ultimately, the results they were hoping for.
